It has been suggested the title is a sexual entendre.<br> The Star and Garter is an English chivalric order whose origins are ancient.<br> The regalia of the order includes a garter that is a necklace, while the<br> star is a medal to be worn on the chest.<br> It has been recorded by Grey Larsen, De Dannan, Cherish The Ladies,<br> The Chieftains and others.<br> I learned this at our Monday night jam.<br>
